"We exist to meet community needs with generosity," says Shaun Floerke, President and CEO of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation. "Having a resource that's there consistently is what we're about."
The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation began in November of 1983 and has been supporting the community in times of need since then. "It's not narrowed, it's not one thing or two things. It's about community need," says Floerke. "We see our three focus areas as working in belonging... opportunity... resilience."
The Foundation is hosting a 40-year celebration at Clyde Iron Works on November 3rd from 4-6pm. For more information about the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation and the celebration on Friday, visit the Foundation website.
You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
