“Misisipi” Mike Wolf is a traditional folk and country singer/songwriter who performs both solo and in enough bands to fill a summer music festival lineup. He writes songs with the same heart and humor as greats like John Prine, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. Wolf recently won first place in the Duluth Dylan Fest songwriters contest and holds down weekly residencies throughout the Twin Ports, most recently at the Cedar Lounge. His local band projects include Boxcar, Neatneatneat, Actual Wolf, Crooked Mile and Eldri Snow’s Wintry Mix.

Are you excited to paddle on the St. Louis River Estuary this summer—or curious about where to begin? Join St. Louis River Alliance and Minnesota Sea Grant for a free ‘River Orientation and Trip Planning’ event on Thursday, April 9, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Morgan Park Community Center (1242 88th Ave W, Duluth).
This event will equip you with the information and tools you need for a safe and successful outing on the St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail. Participants will learn about local access points, safety considerations, weather planning, route selections, and basic gear recommendations! Minnesota Sea Grant will cover the importance of flexibility when planning trips, how to fill out a float plan, and discuss drowning hotspots around the estuary.
All attendees will receive a free St. Louis River Estuary National Water Trail map to follow along during the presentation. Bring your questions and leave with greater knowledge, confidence, and resources to plan your next river adventure!
