Experience Glensheen Mansion like never before with our exclusive Lantern Tours. Guided only by the soft glow of lanterns, you'll embark on a family-friendly journey through the historic estate, revealing hidden corners and a uniquely beautiful atmosphere. Whether you're intrigued by history or captivated by the beauty of fall nights by a bonfire, this intimate after-dark experience offers a new perspective on one of Duluth's most iconic landmarks. All tour tickets include a tour, access to the grounds, and a souvenir Glensheen flashlight distributed at the end of the tour.

Superior Dark Sky in conjunction with the Silver Bay Library, Tettegouche State Park, and the Black Beach will host the annual Superior Dark Sky Experience from October 15 through October 17. The event, which is family friendly, open to the public, and free for all ages will be happening over three days in Silver Bay, MN. There will be a variety of Dark Sky activities and presentations which will be interactive, educational, fun, and inspiring. Activities and presentations including Star Gazing and Night Photography, Dark Skies Light Pollution Awareness, Creatures of the Night, Sidewalk Astronomy, Sam Zimmerman Native American Artist and Author Presentation, and Saw-Whet Owl Band. On Thursday, October 15, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., we're transforming the Lake Superior Zoo into a glowing experience filled with luminary-lit pathways, live music, local food vendors, wellbeing activities, and opportunities to connect with others.

Inspired by Project Horizon, this free community event celebrates the power of mental wellbeing and the impact we can make when we come together.

Presentation Description: Many may not know all that Maila Nurmi, aka Vampira, contributed to horror. Also…come to hear the tea of the men she dated, the people who lied to her, and her time living in Duluth, MN!
Presenter Bio: Kelly Florence is the co-author of eight books including The Science of Women in Horror. She teaches at Lake Superior College and is the horror programmer for the Zeitgeist Minnesota Film Festival.

-“MTV’s Fear–What Were They Thinking?” by Luke Moravec
Presenter Bio: Luke Moravec is a radio show host with The North 103.3 in Duluth. He’s in a Scooby-Doo-inspired one-man band called Zeb or Zeke and the Run Away Screamings. He loves biking, swimming in Lake Superior, and presenting at Nerd Nite.

-"Haunted Depot" by Ken Buehler
Presenter Bio: Ken Buehler was the Executive Director of the Lake Superior Railroad Museum and Historic Union Depot. He has seen it all and believes the Depot is haunted. See a video detailing the poltergeist's activities and you'll never visit the Depot alone again.

The Driftless Revelers formed in the second spring of the first global pandemic of the 21st century, with one ear turned toward the shellac platters and Victrola virtuosos of the early to mid 20th century, and the other ear glued to the soundscapes of the 1960's & 1970's American freak-folk scene.

​Since their debut tour in 2021, the band has billed with Grammy & IBMA winning bluegrass legends like Tim O'Brien, the Gibson Brothers, & Larry Stephenson, and toured extensively throughout the upper Midwest & West coast performing with other amazing artists like Big Richard, The Stillhouse Junkies, Willy Tea Taylor, The Pine Box Boys, The Montvales, Joseph Huber, Davey Allen & the Midnights, Dig Deep, and had breakout performances at several festivals and events (The Good Luck Campout, The Sol Grass Music Festival, Flatrock Bluegrass Jamboree, Mile of Music in Appleton, WI. featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, & The Midsummer in the Northwoods Bluegrass Festival).
