Qrrrky is an Indie rock quintet comprised of middle-aged adult goofballs who collaborate on songs about mental health, the stress of adulthood, as well as freedom and connection and nature. Qrrrky is fun . . . a little strange, sometimes kinda kinky. . . because we believe in collaboration, we bring together diverse experiences in our writing and our audiences.

Lydia Boyum & Ryan Lane bring a heartfelt blend of singer-songwriter, folk, indie, and pop influences to the stage. With captivating vocals and acoustic guitar, their music tells stories of love, life, and everything in between.

Duluth’s most determined purveyors of rhythm and blues, funk, and jazz are back at Homegrown after a hectic 2024. The Gemstones bring powerhouse soundscapes and all-around funk/rock sex-suasion to the stage. With Courtney Ellian’s smooth and sultry keyboard stylings, Manny Eisele’s low-end on bass, Josh Nickila’s vintage sound on guitar, Ian Hopp’s “madman on funk-ahol” drumming — and all four on vocals — the band is ready for an even bigger 2025. Work on a new album began in February with Ryan Rusch at the Weight Room Recording Studio in Ashland.

Deep Space, Light-speed, Bluegrass!

Nationally touring Spacegrass outfit Buffalo Galaxy (Minneapolis, MN) is taking bluegrass out of this world. Tradition fades into the stratosphere when they go looking for what’s out there… Ethereal jams and rolling banjos tunes intermix with hard grooves and pop choruses as they celebrate another day making music. Buffalo Galaxy has played over 300 shows in over 20 states from The West Coast to The Blue Ridge Mountains, and will be pushing the boundaries even further this year!

Emily Haavik is a singer-songwriter from the shores of Lake Superior, now based in the Twin Cities. "There's soul in Haavik's voice" (Duluth News Tribune), and she writes "terrific songs with honest lyrics and infectious hooks" (The Bluegrass Situation). Emily plays a blend of Americana, folk and glitzy-glam country, often with her incredible band the 35s.
