Where's Art: Tactile and Homegrown

Where's art this week? All around!

Artwork by graduating seniors will be on display at the Kruk Gallery at the University of Wisconsin Superior campus this Thursday. The capstone exhibition takes place from 5-7pm and will feature student work of all kinds including ceramics, screen printing, and loom weaving. "It's exciting to see how these students are trying to push those mediums that have been around for thousands of years," says Annie Dugan.

On Saturday, the Duluth Fiber Handcrafters Guild is hosting a rummage sale. From 10am-1pm at the Coppertop Church in Duluth, textiles and samples will be available for purchase. "This is a wonderful model for how we can transmute these skills over time."

And the Homegrown Music Festival, though typically regarded as musical focused, has visual art to offer as well. This year's field guide features cover art by Annmarie Geniusz, and the Homegrown shirt design was created by local artist John Hoban
