Where's Art: Whimsy of the Woods

"This week we can think about the mystery and the wonder of the woods and how artists interpret that for us," says Annie Dugan as she discusses the artists who love the woods as much as us.

Local multimedia artist Amanda Hunter is a part of the Spirit of the Lake Community Artists who create work in the Lakeside area of Duluth. Hunter creates life-size renditions of fable-life woods that inspire whimsy and joy.

If you're looking to go deeper into the woods, the Depo is hosting the LOON Opera touring show Hansel and Gretel. The set designer, Anne Gumpper, has created a mythical, portable set that can travel from place to place. This event is taking place Thursday February 29th at the Duluth Depo at 6pm.
