Maria Crumb is one of three contestants on season two of The Great Minnesota Recipe on PBS North. Crumb grew up helping out at her parents' Mexican restaurant in St. Louis, Missouri. "It was very much family oriented," says Crumb of the initial push that got her into cooking.
Regarding her experience with being on the television show, Crumb felt more at ease with The Great Minnesota Recipe than she presumes about other cooking shows. "It's more personality based than it is competition based." Although the show was far from daunting, the nerves were still there. "I didn't want to make a mistake while I was on TV," says Crumb. "This is a new setting - I was terrified about that."
PBS North is hosting a season finale screening at Clyde Iron Works on Tuesday, June 27th beginning at 5:30pm. The event is free and open to the public. RSVP for the event online. The final episode of The Great Minnesota Recipe will air on PBS North this Thursday at 7pm.
