Radio Gallery 10-19-2011: Bridget Riversmith
Riversmith speaks with Radio Gallery about the amazing contributions of the Arrowhead Alliance of Artists With Disabilities. AAAWD is a group of volunteers that helps artists with disabilities share their work, and promotes greater accessibility of art by creating awareness within the community. Duluth is the first city in the midwest to build it's own project, and to create a plan to instill a permanent exhibit for the Disability Mural Project. Tiles from this project will be premiered at an exhibit titled "All Together Now" on Wednesday, October 19th from 2-8 p.m. at the DECC in the Lake Superior Ballroom. Riversmith shares the importance of this project by reminding us how "art is a powerful force for change."
