Radio Gallery 5-04-2011: Dulcimer Day

This week Radio Gallery celebrates the 10th Annual Dulcimer Day in Duluth Folk Music Festival. Bob and Louissa Fabro are two Duluth musicians who will be leading the "Mid-Day Jam" at Dulcimer Day this year. They share the details about many of the exiting events that will be taking place, and explain the various types of dulcimers and the eccentric ways this instrument can be utilized for a variety of genres. Dulcimer Day will include performances by master dulcimer musicians, and folk instrument players. Dulcimer Day allows the opportunity to take beginner or advanced classes on how to play the mountain or hammer dulcimer. This is a very unique and exciting event that takes place on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church, (Coppertop Church) located at 230 E. Skyline Parkway., Duluth, MN.
