Radio Gallery 5-18-2011: Paula McCartney

The MAEP will be showcasing the works of artists Liz Miller and Paula McCartney. Miller will be displaying her work in an exhibit titled "Ornamental Invasion" and McCartney presents an exhibit titled "A Field Guide to Snow and Ice." Although their exhibits vary greatly, they both highlight the work of women in Minnesota. McCartney joins us in the studio to talk about her inspiration for "A Field Guide to Snow and Ice." In her photographs she used the ideas of snow and ice to create an image of the way she views a landscape. The work of Miller and McCartney are on view through July 3. On Thursday May 19th they will be having an artist talk which allows the opportunity to hear more from these individuals about their exhibitions. The artist talk will take place at the Minneapolis Institute of Art located at 2400 3rd Ave S, Minneapolis, MN.
