Homegrown Live from Studio A: Hot Club of Duluth

Jimi Cooper, Veikko Lepisto, and Darin Bergsven of Hot Club of Duluth joined us in the studio on April 29, 2024 in advance of their performance the same night at Duluth's Homegrown Music Festival. We talked about Billy Bernard, the beloved guitar professor that they all studied under and who was an original member of the group before retiring. We also talked about what differentiates the "hot jazz' style they play from other jazz styles. The group, which also features Eli Bissonett, said they would be adding a piano player for their Homegrown performance.
