Live from Studio A: Mustard's Retreat

Libby Glover and David Tamulevich of Mustard's Retreat

Mustard’s Retreat got its start as a trio featuring Libby Glover, David Tamulevich, and Michael Hough in Ann Arbor Michigan in 1975 ; Glover left the band for many years while Tamulevich and Hough carried on as a duo until she returned in 2014. With Hough's retirement from the group, it's back to a duo, featuring Tamulevich and Glover this time. Through all of its incarnations, Mustard's Retreat has logged millions of miles on the road and played more than 6,000 shows, from house shows to festivals. The current duo joined us in the studio on April 10, 2024 in advance of an opening slot for Peter Yarrow the same night. We talked about how they met Yarrow, known for his work in Peter, Paul and Mary, and what it's been like to develop a relationship with a musician who was one of their first influences. They also shared songs from their most recent album, By Request, featuring new versions of some of their fans most beloved songs.
