Aurora has been popping up rather frequently as of late here on planet Earth, but it's also showing up on other planets too.
All other planets in our solar system - with the exception of Mercury - experience Aurora in their own way. Though they would be invisible to the eyes of humans, Mars has Aurora. However, Martian Aurora doesn't gravitate to poles. "Essentially particles from the sun just bombard the entire atmosphere of Mars," says Bob King. Ultraviolet vision is a requirement for viewing.
