Where's Art: The Boards Behind the Art

Art is happening all over the Northland. Speakers, exhibition, classes, outreach - none of it happens without artists, but also integral in helping the art scene reach its full potential are art boards and individuals to offer guidance.

Most art organizations have a board of directors who volunteer their time to help promote events and individuals involved therein. In an area of the world so rich with art organizations, there are lots of ways to get involved. "The first step, or course, is to be knowledgeable of the organization," says Annie Dugan.

A great resource for those looking to increase their involvement in the arts is The Minnesota Council of Non-Profits. More information can be found online.

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
