Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Andre Robinson

Originally from Jamaica and now living in Grand Marais, Minnesota, Andre Robinson (stage name Dre AKA Jamaican) has numerous memories of life on stage that includes several guest spots with his father's band Prince Paul and the Conscious Party. Dre's music and videos can be found online.

Andre's first album purchase was an eye-opener that helped push him toward a future as a rap artist. The start time of the first concert he attended was delayed while the headliner waited to get paid. And his guilty pleasure song is a team-up from the late 90s. "The beat is one of the coolest instrumentals I've heard."

Back Tracks receives support from Minnesota Power Employees Credit Union. You can hear Back Tracks every Friday at 8am on Northland Morning.
