86 Dessert is the latest work from local musical composer Wendy Durrwachter. The one-act opera is being presented to the public free of charge and will premiere at the Depot Stage in Duluth at 7pm on Saturday, June 29th. More information about the opera and Durrwachter's work can be found on her website.

Wendy gravitated toward the piano at age three. A few years later she gravitated to a first album partly due to a radio hit. Her first concert took place in her hometown of Green Bay, Wisconsin - a concert that got rowdier than a Packer's game. And when asked about a guilty pleasure song, Wendy recalled being on a cruise ship in a hurricane and the album that helped her through. "I had a moment of intense fear of dying and it changed to, woah, this is really cool, and this is fun."
