To dads everywhere - Happy Father's Day!

Rick Moravec, father of Northland Morning host Luke Moravec, grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota in the Highland Park neighborhood. Rick became a father in 1979 when his first-born arrived on Father's Day. A year and a half later, Luke arrived on Rick's birthday.

Like many of a certain generation, early rock and roll made an impression on Rick, which led to his first album purchase. His first concert was at the Minneapolis Auditorium witnessed from the nose-bleed section. And his guilty pleasure song pulls at the heartstrings and makes him think of his wife of nearly fifty years. "I get a little emotional over it."

Back Tracks receives support from Minnesota Power Employees Credit Union. You can hear Back Tracks every Friday at 8am on Northland Morning.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
