The sounds of summer are here and they get more melodic beginning on July 5th when Glensheen kicks off their summer music series "Concerts on the Pier". Every Wednesday through August 30th will feature Minnesota music including Erik Koskinen, Jeremy Messersmith, and a host of local heavy-hitters.
"Most concerts you can't arrive by water," says Mike Mayou, marketing manager at Glensheen. "This is one where you get the front row seat if you're arriving by water." Experiencing the music from land also has a number of plus sides. "There's twelve acres of space to explore... there's plenty of trails, there's plenty of places you can escape to." Food, drinks, lawn games and more can be expected along the shoreline. "It's a great way to come out and experience Glensheen on a beautiful summer night."
The Slamming Doors kick-off the summer of music next Wednesday. The full list of bands performing this summer is available on the Glensheen website.
