Ivy Vainio’s work with AICHO takes many forms. Recently, she’s been involved with the visioning and planning for the upcoming concert fundraiser for the Dabinoo’Igan Shelter. The concert featuring Annie Humphrey, Keith Secola and Erik Koskinen takes place on April 6th at the Norshor Theatre.

A huge Erik Koskinen fan, Vainio’s answers to the three Back Tracks questions couldn’t be too much further from the folk-country-rock-blues of Koskinen. Her first album was the biggest of 1982, her first concert was laden with surf sounds and pronto pups, and her guilty pleasure song takes us to LAX – a different world from rural Bruno.

Back Tracks receives support from Minnesota Power Employees Credit Union.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
