Ken Buehler didn’t expect to end up working with trains. After spending time in broadcasting, then owning various radio stations, Buehler transitioned to the Lake Superior Railroad Museum. He now serves as the executive director and has an affinity for riding the rails.
On the musical side of the tracks, Buehler recalls taking a walk through the countryside to deliver an album in an ill-fated romantic gesture, a first concert at the University of Wisconsin-Superior by a solo musician who sang about loneliness, and a guilty pleasure song by an artist that could be categorized as the one that got away. “I’ve been in love with that woman my entire life.”
