Where's Art? with Annie Dugan: Celebrating local crafts, and also making your own

Lauren Faherty

There are several maker’s markets and craft events around the twin ports area in the coming week, including events at Ursa Minor Brewing, Hoops Brewing, Island Lake Inn, Thirsty Pagan Brewing, Glensheen, and Nice Girls of the North.

Also there are a couple "make-it-yourself" events in the coming days where artisans help you create your own crafts. The Duluth Art Institute has an upcoming class, “Introduction to Embroidery: Make Your Own Patch with Lauren Faherty” event, and another with printer Jon Hinkel where you can make your own handmade cards.

Chris Harwood is The North 1033’s Production Director and (acting) Program Director, a morning/daytime host, and the host of Soul Village. He is also a musician, a music historian, an audio engineer, and an avid record collector.
