This Duluth Americana musician recently released a new album, Hugo, and opened for Trampled by Turtles at their Bayfront Festival Park show after winning the band’s Palomino grant. He performs at Chester Bowl Park as part of the Chester Creek Concert Series on Tuesday, August 1st; we got a preview when he joined us in the studio on July 31, 2023. He and guitarist Kyle Orla shared songs from Hugo as well as a new track, and Thorn talked about how he got started in music in his small Wisconsin hometown, the making of his debut album, and what it was like to perform at the Turtles show.
