Backyard Almanac: Various Stages of Fall Color

According to Larry Weber, we're in an in-between time. With autumn just starting and September coming to an end, there are plenty of signs of being caught in the middle.

Perhaps the most visually evidential example of this is the leaves. There are still plenty of trees in the Northland that are still holding onto their green leaves, while there are a few that have already shed their yellow leaves. This final week of September - sometimes known as "peak week" - should offer plenty of color and a few bare branches too.

You can hear Backyard Almanac every Friday at 8:20am on Northland Morning.
