Gardens are reaching their summertime prime and the moment for garden tours is now.
Garden tours offer an opportunity for expert gardeners and novices alike to take in the beauty of area gardens and to converse with hosts. For some, this will be a chance to learn new methods and philosophies about applied gardening, while others might want to simply enjoy the sights and smells.
The Duluth Women's Club Tour takes place on July 20th. It's the 54th time that the Women's Club has hosted the tour. The Western Garden Tour celebrates it's 20th year on August 6th.
Tom Kasper has an affinity for one tour in particular; the proceeds from which will benefit CHUM's food share program. On Wednesday, July 27th, folks can carpool around Duluth and enjoy 5 different gardens. Tickets are available at Bending Birches Greenhouse for $10.
