Tom Kasper reminds us of the basics, water your plants. At this stage of summer, as plants grow bigger, they need consistent watering.
Kasper says water regularly and early, if you are watering later in the day, water low and keep it off the foliage to prevent fungus.
Hanging baskets and containers dry out faster and depending on your soil, may need daily watering. In caring for your tomato plants, potted or in the garden, inconsistent watering and calcium definciency can lead to blosom-end rot or blight, indicated by the yellowing leaves near the bottom.
