Zeitgeist Minnesota Film Festival (ZMFF) returns April 22–26, 2026, in Duluth, MN, with in-person screenings at Zeitgeist and surrounding venues. The festival showcases local, national, and international films, filmmaker Q&As, industry events, educational workshops, and a Pitch Competition with cash prizes. This year for National Volunteer Week, Head of the Lakes United Way is teaming up with our non-profit partners in the Twin Ports and on the Northshore to celebrate current volunteers and spark volun-curiousity for those looking to give back to their community. We are hosting two Volun-Cheers events that will feature door prizes, food, music and a chance to mingle with volunteers, volunteer coordinators, leaders from local non-profit organizations, sponsors and participating businesses.

“Misisipi” Mike Wolf is a traditional folk and country singer/songwriter who performs both solo and in enough bands to fill a summer music festival lineup. He writes songs with the same heart and humor as greats like John Prine, Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. Wolf recently won first place in the Duluth Dylan Fest songwriters contest and holds down weekly residencies throughout the Twin Ports, most recently at the Cedar Lounge. His local band projects include Boxcar, Neatneatneat, Actual Wolf, Crooked Mile and Eldri Snow’s Wintry Mix.
