With temps dropping down folks will be bundling up, and what better way to cozy up this autumn than with a quilt.
The artistic side of quilts is now on display at the Kruk Gallery at UWS. The work of Erick Wolfmeyer will be on display beginning Tuesday, October 7th from 5-7pm. "A lot of Erick's quilts are meditating on his personal life story, but ones that can also be universalized," says Annie Dugan. "These really detailed patterns and shapes and how those lines fit together can also be telescoped outward."
Also at UWS, Cara Dunkerley's exhibit titled Because, because, because, because, because opens this week. Dunkerley creates with glitter, paint, collage, and many other methods. "She's taking all of these patterns and imagery from our flotsam and jetsam of everyday life into something that can cohesively make sense into one larger piece," says Dugan.
For those looking for more quilting, on Wednesday there's a craft and quilting day at New Life Lutheran Church. And for those looking for something spooky, North Shorror opens this week at the Depot.
You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
