Where's Art: Dioramas and Murder

Prøve Gallery

This Friday, Prøve Gallery puts dioramas front and center with "The Diorama Show". Many artists have been busy creating their dioramas based on dreams, dreamscapes and nightmares.

And if dioramas sound like a medium for grade-school students, consider Frances Glessner Lee who created dioramas for the purpose of solving cold cases. Through meticulous recreation, some of these dioramas actually led to solutions and to justice.

You can learn more about Frances Glessner Lee by exploring a past exhibit at the Smithsonian, and by checking out a book all about her ambitions.

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
