January 27th marks the opening date for two exhibits at the Duluth Art Institute. Tali Margolin's Navigating Moments, and Ellen Sandbeck's As Long as the Rivers Shall Run are both on display now through April 18th.
Margolin's exhibit explores the idea of home. The artist has lived in various locations throughout the world and reflects on home as a physical structure and as a country.
The work seen in Sandbeck's exhibit includes cut paper designs that explore "difficult realities". The impact of humans on the natural world is at the center of Sandbeck's work.
