For Mike Smíšek, visual design and creating music have some commonalities. As the owner of Šek Design Studio and the core musician behind Slope City, Mike has an investment in both creative endeavors. Slope City is on stage this Saturday night with Breanne Marie and the Front Porch Sinners at Bent Paddle Brewing in Duluth.
Mike's first album purchase was a parentally-unapproved schoolyard deal. His first concert included several notable musicians that helped define the 90s. And his guilty pleasure song comes from a musician that has had multiple resurgences during their decades-long career. "It's just a very memorable song, and obviously it's a very catchy hook."
