For those looking to experience traditional holiday sights and sounds, just take a look around the area and you'll find various offerings to scratch that holly jolly itch. However, for the more discerning celebrator looking for something off the beaten path, there's Boubville.
For the past few years, local artists have come together to present the holiday season in a stranger, more avant garde light. Through colorful vignette displays, lighting designs, and a schedule of musical performers, Boubville offers an alternative holiday celebration to the Northland. "I just can't stop smiling when I think about this event," says Annie Dugan. "It's very much a DIY light and music festival."
Boubville is located at 315 W 4th Street in Duluth. The three-night event begins on Thursday, December 12th with their designated Family Night. The event is open to all. A $20 donation is suggested for patrons. Learn more at the Boubville website.
You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
