"Homegrown is amazing... but it's just one part of the year," says Kala Moria, "The Winter Fiasco is a nice halfway point." The one-night music event is happening on Friday, January 12th at various venues throughout downtown Duluth. Music begins at 7pm at Sir Ben's with music from Austin Castle and goes until 1am when NVR TGTHR wraps up their set at Pizza Luce.
For Moria, a first-time co-curator of the Winter Fiasco, the free event is an opportunity to introduce newcomers to the idea of Homegrown, and to give devotees a nice teaser in the midst of a cold Duluth winter. Much like the eight-day festival in the spring, the Winter Fiasco comes with its own unique challenge. "I would love to be at every single band. Obviously, there's overlap, so you can't see everything," says Moria. "If you show up to any venue, you're not going to be disappointed."
