The 2023 Duluth Superior Film Festival takes place this weekend, running from October 5th through the 8th. Each of the first three nights involve a film by Philip Harder, including Cue the Strings - a film about Low tonight at 7pm at the Norshor Theatre.

Harder was tapped to film the first video for Low in the early 90s. "Somebody thought, well, maybe there's a director nearby," says Harder of how he was selected for the job. Over the subsequent 30 years, Harder continued to film the band. Cue the Strings is the compilation of much of that work.

In addition, Harder's film The Claw will be screened on Friday night at 9pm at Zinema 2, and Tuscaloosa, also directed by Harder, can be seen on Saturday at 5pm at the Spirit of the North Theatre.

You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning.
