Community Connection: Fall Programming at the Music Resource Center

What was summer like at the Music Resource Center? "We just had a ton of fun playing music all day," says Program Director Shawna Weaver. Though it might boil down to fun, the summer included lessons, special guests, courses in mastering and recording, and more. This was the first summer of camps at MRC.

With the changing season comes Fall programming. The MRC is kicking things off with an open house on September 19th from 6-8pm. At the open house, youths can explore the space, get signed up for the Fall session or the whole year, and hear music by staff and student bands. A suggested donation of $10 at the door will go toward the purchase of a new drum kit.

For more information about the Music Resource Center, visit their website.

You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning. This edition of Community Connection is made possible in part by Lakewalk Surgery Center.
