Community Connection: Learning and Libations at the Library

"The library has been crazy busy this summer," says Erin Kreeger, the Executive Director of the Duluth Library Foundation. "Every day the Duluth Public Library was open, there was an activity or program scheduled." Now that the summer is coming to an end, things might slow down a little bit, but September brings an annual event that includes some activities not usually found at a library.

The 12th annual "Learning and Libations" event will be held on Friday, September 15th from 6:30-9:30pm. The event is an after-hour fundraiser for the library. The highlights include the cover band Born Too Late, elevated "after-school snack" food, free beer and wine, and mocktails. The evening will include a brief program, special guests from Hailey and Mike from Minnesota Historia, and access to the library's extensive yearbook collection.

Tickets are available online but can also be purchased at the door on the day of the event.

You can hear Community Connection every Tuesday and Thursday at 8am on Northland Morning. This edition of Community Connection is made possible in part by Lakewalk Surgery Center.
