"This film is basically a deep dive into the out-of-control cost of hospitals," says medical student Pete Smith about the film American Hospitals. "It's probably the most important conversation that I think we can be having right now." The film spurred conversation and action after a screening in Minneapolis earlier this year. After that, a screening in Duluth just made sense.
The screening of American Hospitals is at 7pm on Thursday, September 21st at the Zeitgeist Zinema. Admission is free and the screening will be followed by a panel discussion with local healthcare professionals including Smith. The trailer for American Hospitals can be viewed online.
