An extensive career in radio can qualify someone as a bit of a music expert, but a lifetime of study and interest catapults one into the highest ranks. That’s just about where you’ll find The North’s Chris Harwood who curates and hosts Soul Village and regularly fills in as host for any of the diverse shows on The North.
Would you be able to guess Harwood’s answers to the three Back Tracks questions? Perhaps. His first album and first concert were courtesy of two legendary bands that were constantly influencing one another, but his guilty pleasure song (a cover from 1983 that “is stunningly good”) has stronger ties to The Simpsons than music history.
