L-R: Mike McLean, Rick McLean, Pete Biasi

This Duluth musician got his start as a solo artist, playing irreverent Irish-influenced folk / punk. He's since added a band and moved in a more psych rock direction without losing that irreverence. He joined us in the studio on September 22nd, 2023 in advance of the cassette release show for his new album, ...from the Junk Drawer . He explained the album's name and the choice to release it on cassette, plus he performed three songs from the album with his band, which features his brother Mike McLean on drums and Pete Biasi on bass. Biasi also produced the album. Rick McLean, a talented artist as well as a musician, created the artwork for the release.
