Pat Dougherty, better known as "Doc," is the musician behind this Twin Cities project, which they describe as "americana traditions woven with indie rock hooks, stompin' beats, and soulful blues." The eclectic artist released a debut EP, Wolf Tower, in 2019 that fit that description, then followed it up in 2020 with an EP of improvised piano pieces inspired by the fibonacci sequence. Doc's resume also includes hosting a radio show on KFAI, roller derby, music writing, curating a music festival, and playing in the band Elle PF. We touched on many of those things and they performed some songs when they joined us for a session on June 10, 2022 ahead of their set at Earth Rider Brewery the following night.
