Highway maintenance supervisor Mike Fox kind of misses the days when he went out as part of a road crew to steam open iced up culverts.
But he's proud of the work the county is doing, not only to combat flooding, but to seal pot-holed and damaged roads, and he's giving a lot of the credit to the half-cent sales tax for allowing his department to be proactive with road issues, not just reactive.
