As March works toward its end, a look back will prove that it's been a weird one. Temps have drifting into the 60s at times and also plummeted to double digits below zero. Yes, March is an odd one, and April will likely be just as unpredictable.
Though the temps and conditions wildly fluctuate, we can still count on the consistency of migration. Many water dwellers are starting to gather in local rivers with Canada geese being among the most prominent. Some songbirds are also being heard in wooded areas.
Those squirrels are hungry. With their winter cache depleted, you'll often see them foraging at birdfeeders. Additionally, some trees are beginning to show signs of buds, and if you keep your eyes on the exposed grassy areas, you just might see an early dandelion.
