As we approach the mid-point of February the temps are beginning to climb. However, both December and January ended up with second halves that were nothing like the first halves. Get comfortable with the warmer weather at your own risk.

Larry Weber's been soaking up the warmth by getting outside for daily walks. Plenty of birds, including wild turkeys, have been keeping him company, and Larry even tracked a starnose mole for short while. Plenty of critters are moving about in the anticipation of a changing season.

You can hear Backyard Almanac every Friday at 8:20am on Northland Morning.

Luke Moravec is the host for Northland Morning on The North 103.3. He’s also a local actor, musician and writer. He loves puzzles, riddles and fun mysteries.
