If you're in the area, Wednesday night between 9pm and midnight will offer an opportunity to see the Northern Lights. Some recent explosive activity on the sun, along with predicted clear skies, make this an ideal opportunity to see the aurora.
And if you are, by chance, in Miami, keep your eyes on Orion. The upcoming occultation with an asteroid called Leona will cause Orion's brightest star to blink out for a few seconds. Scientist will be utilizing this rare moment to gather more information about the star.
