Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Bob King

Copyright Bob King. Used with permission.

Bob King doesn't believe in ghosts. He doesn't believe that aliens have visited earth and he's never seen a UFO; this despite all of his time spent looking at the stars. Instead, King considers himself a scientific method kind-of guy. All the same, if any extraterrestrials are out there, King wouldn't mind them beaming him up.

The host of Asto Bob's Backyard Astronomy on Northland Morning took some time to talk about the cosmos as well as his music history. His first album included a recording of what has become a Halloween staple, his first live show involved an alum from his high school, and his guilty pleasure song is a 1989 party tune that always provides a little pick-me-up. "That one truly is a guilty pleasure."
