Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Troy Rogers

What will religious services be like hundreds of years into the future? Troy Rogers has a thought on that. During the Homegrown Music Festival, Rogers and roughly 40 others presented a mass like neither Sacred Heart nor Homegrown had ever seen before. The show soon became the most talked about event of the 2023 festival.

For an artist like Rogers, one wonders about the musical building blocks that paved the way. His first album was purchased at a Range record store, his first concert was a Hall of Fame group sans make-up, and his guilty pleasure song left us all thinking about the scantily clad combined with demolition equipment. "That's the image I want to leave you with."

Additional conversation with Troy Rogers regarding the Homegrown show at Sacred Heart can be heard after the guilty pleasure song.
