Bob King lets us know that there are several interesting things to see in the night sky in the coming weeks. (Of course, there are billions and billions of things to see, but some are more evident in our solar neighborhood.)

Tomorrow evening, with a good pair of binoculars, Mercury may be seen just after sunset a little to the left of the new crescent Moon. On Thursday in the hour after sunset, the Moon will be in conjunction with the planet Venus. The Moon will continue to wax over the coming days leading up to the full moon - the "harvest moon" - on Monday evening, September 20th.
