Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with David Arnott

David Arnott

DSSO's Manager of Orchestra Operations David Arnott is also a performer with the Duluth Superior Symphony Orchestra. Although his official chair is in the viola section, he's been playing violin more lately... a violin of unknown origins. For the first time in its hundreds of years existence, the violin will be used to help perform the score to Raiders of the Lost Ark this weekend. For tickets and more information about the DSSO presentation of the classic score by John Williams, visit the DSSO website.

In his earlier music life, David's first CD purchase was of an album that he was already very familiar with - on a muscle memory level. His first live concert was a stadium show of a duo that was very deserving of such a large venue. And David's guilty pleasure song is the original version of a tune that has been covered countless times. "I will always sing along."

You can hear Back Tracks every Friday at 8am on Northland Morning.
