Where's Art: Signs of Spring and Colors of the Season

With a warm weekend behind us, some in the Northland are getting into the Spring spirit, particularly when it comes to art.

At the Nordic Center, Signs of Spring will be on display now through May 2nd. The Nordic Center has collected work from Minnesota artists whose work embodies hope, beauty, and re-birth. The exhibit is open for viewing from 12-4pm on Fridays and Saturdays at the Nordic Center's downtown location at 23 N Lake Avenue in Duluth.

Immediately next door to the Nordic Center is the Prøve Collective, which also has art on display. The Aune sisters, Alison and Kirsten, are presenting Colors of the North, a joint exhibition of both paint and textiles, along with a lot of colors. "They have this power behind them," says Dugan of the work of both Alison and Kirsten.

And for artists looking to apply for exhibitions, grants, and more, there are a lot of things to start planning for.

You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
