The 65th Arrowhead Regional Biennial marks 130 years of celebrating art in the region. The Duluth Art Institute hosts the biennial, which will feature work from artists from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and the Dakotas.
Seventy-three artists from a wide range of disciplines were selected to be a part of the biennial. "This year Wendy Savage is the juror. She is perfect for this," says Annie Dugan. "She is a well-established educator, artist, painter, bead-worker, curator - she looks and breaths art." The event will feature several familiar names from the area as well as established artists from further afield.
Work is already on display at the Duluth Art Institute and is open for viewing from 12-5pm Monday through Friday. On Thursday, October 23rd from 5-8:30pm there will be a celebration at the DAI galleries.
You can hear Where's Art every Monday morning at 8:20 on Northland Morning.
