Back Tracks: Three Music Questions with Karen Keenan

Since 2017, Karen Keenan has been heavily involved with The Nordic Center in Duluth. That involvement has led to particular passions including creating hair jewelry and connecting with others through culture, music, and much more. The Nordic Center opens their latest exhibit, titled Sylvsmidja, tonight at their location on Lake Avenue in downtown Duluth.

Karen's first album purchase was a work that wasn't exactly being talked about by the other kids on the playground. Her first concert highlighted music that would send people who like to clap along into fits. And her guilty pleasure song strikes a somber tone that goes right to the heart. "I never cease to be amazed how it touches me each time I hear it."

Back Tracks receives support from Minnesota Power Employees Credit Union. You can hear Back Tracks every Friday at 8am on Northland Morning.
